THE RESURRECTION IS REAL
As a born-again Christian, I am well settled in my faith in Jesus Christ. Yet, I am not adverse to respecting Buddhists, Muslims, and Jews who express their faith otherwise. Even among Christians, there are more than 200 different denominations derived from their Ecclesiastical spin on the Bible. Ergo, in a nation wherein “In God We Trust” has become a mere creed on the money upon which it is printed, I challenge America’s Youths to ferret the Scriptures in order to discover GOD’s standards for what is morally right or wrong. Such a point of reference quickly will reveal how immoral Americana has become over the past quarter century. More important than merely listening to any rabbi, imam, pastor or priest, etc., perusal of the Scriptures will open your spiritual eyes in order to understand the nature of GOD and His expectations for mankind. So, how can anyone be sure that his religion, faith or belief is in the right “God”? This timeless existential question has been debated throughout human history by philosophers, sages, scholars, etc. Yet, is it wise for neophytes in high school to join any such debate, or simply to seek GOD and to allow Him to manifest His presence in their lives? Explain. In a nation wherein “In God We Trust” has become a mere creed on the money upon which it is printed, our public schools no longer inculcate piety, morality, or propriety based upon Scriptures. Instead, relativism and nihilism have become the moral plat du jour. For dessert, Wicca and Thelema afford Americans a pagan, hedonistic philosophy, “Do what thou wilt“, vis-a-vis obeying God’s commandments. While Victory In Christ Ensemble acknowledges that WE the People of the United States are not a Christian monolith, still VICE maintains that religious piety is far more virtuous that the folkways of any atheist or infidel. Stated differently, the Holy Bible is a moral GPS that facilitates supplanting human vices with more virtuous living. Thus, we invite atheists, agnostics, and infidels to consider studying the Scriptures in order to discern what is “truth”. Unlike when I was in middle school, today’s public school assemblies don’t present Christmas carols and plays depicting the Virgin Mary giving birth to the Son of God. That miracle of His Nativity alone makes Jesus Christ unique among men who walked the Earth. Throughout His Earthly ministry, this Carpenter’s Son demonstrated miracles and supernatural powers that caused consternation among the Pharisees and high priests. Today, the Prince of Darkness still can deceive agnostics of all ages via his bag of “tricks and treats” that truncates spiritual knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Thus, Victory In Christ Ensemble [VICE] challenges seekers of the truth to consider taking a course in Christian Apologetics. Unlike Buddha or Muhammad, Jesus Christ rose triumphantly from the dead, thus fulfilling Biblical prophecy. Yet, after Jesus revealed Himself to His Disciples, the chief priests and the Jewish elders paid bribes to obfuscate the truth about the Messiah’s Resurrection. Whose report do you believe? Explain.
“In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from Heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring His disciples word. And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see Me. Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole Him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.” [Matthew 28:1-15]
